December 19, 1937 – June 11, 2020

Chris Knetsch was born in The Hague, in the Netherlands on December 19, 1937, to his parents Fred and
Mary (Visser) being one in a family of eight. Brothers- Arie, Lewis, Fred and Sisters -Ann, Mary, Johanna,
and Margaret. The whole family would eventually emigrate from Holland after World War 2 in 1954.
Married to Ineke Boven August 17, 1963 and had four beautiful children, Christie, Marilyn, Jonathan,
and David, and grandchild, daughter of Marilyn; Olivia Meyer. Originally based in Seaforth then a few
major moves to Hartington, Kingston, and then Toronto.
Chris was a Jack-Of-All-Trades, working for various manufacturers and owning small businesses that
eventually led to our relocation to Toronto.
Chris and Ineke eventually retired and moved to St. Catharines, enjoying a peaceful surrounding and
garnering friends from Church and neighbourhood.
Having received great care at the Niagara Health Centre for the past few weeks, and half way through
his 82 nd year he left this earthly plain.

    I remember way back as a wee kid, going to visit you guys in the corner store, pizza shop, ice cream place (i know i got all that there, but not sure what it was called). I remember all the uncle’s singing together, and they COULD SING! I will miss him, but keep my fond memories! We pray that God will Bless and Keep you all in his care!
