WALTON: Robert George (Bob)

Motor Bob has worked on his last carburetor. Bob passed away peacefully on January 25, 2020 at the St. Catharines General Hospital at the age of 70. He will be missed by his beloved wife Linda. He will be missed by his children, Robert, Jennine and their families. Bob will be remembered by Linda’s children, Beth-Anne, Trevor and their families. He is survived by many extended family members and many friends and an abundant of friends within the racing community. Think of Bob every time you hear the roar of the engines and see the checkered flag. Have a smile when you hear a country song knowing he will be singing along because he knew them all. As per Bob’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to PASSFIELD MORTUARY SERVICES (905) 682-0474. If desired, donations in remembrance of Bob may be made to the Ronald McDonald House- Hamilton. ” Rest in Peace my Love”

    He will be missed by many. I delivered the papers for quite a few years. Loved his humour. Made me smile and laugh. Never know when your time is up. Enjoy 1 day at a time to the fullest. RIP Bob.

    Many good times and memeories. As the announcer at Merritville and Humberstone for 13yrs combined. Saw many of Bobs creations capture the checker. Godspeed my friend. RIP

    So sorry to hear about my friend, Bob. What is missing from his obituary is that Bob was also an excellent truck driver. He worked for a number of years for a broker who had a truck on with Total Transportation, running a team run between Toronto and Winnipeg. Bob and I shared many hours together in the truck. It is really difficult to find someone you trust enough to run “team” with, and Bob was a wonderful team partner. Bob and I lost touch over the years, but I will miss not knowing he is out there.
