White, Lorraine (nee Bodden)

WHITE, Lorraine (nee Bodden) May 24, 1933 – December 21, 2019 passed away peacefully at home in St. Catharines with her family and dedicated dog, Benji, by her side.  Wife of the late Hank White, Lorraine is survived by her daughters Susan Blanchard (Brian) and Sally Vince (Tim), son Harry (Heather) and daughter in law Cathy (wife of the late Neal).

One of Lorraine’s greatest loves was spending time with children and she was adored by her 13 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 5 great, great grandchildren.

She enjoyed the great times spent with family and friends at their cottage in Bracebridge and home in Orillia.  The family is truly grateful to granddaughter Sasha, for her amazing nursing care and sacrifices she made to help take care of her Nana until the very end. Many thanks also to brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Herb and Barb Brehm for their love and support throughout. The family extends their sincere gratitude for the care provided by all of the Palliative Care Team from HNHB LHIN, Paramed, CBI and Dr. Wouter Oelofse for his support and caring visits. As per Lorraine’s wishes, there will be no funeral service but a private family interment following cremation. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Hospice Niagara would be appreciated.

Very sad to learn of Lorraine’s passing. I certainly remember the great times at the cottage at Bracebridge and was happy to visit with her and Benji at her home a few years ago with my mother (also Lorraine). My mom enjoyed many adventures with her.
