HOLOWCHUK: Peter, S. – December 2, 1942 – September 2, 2017)

Passed away peacefully at the age of 74. Predeceased by his loving wife Linda (2004) and father Peter (2011). He leaves behind his dear mother Edith, son Steve (Cheryl), daughter Leah Hopkinson, and grandchildren Troy, Tiana, Paige and Hailey. He will also be missed by family members Len and Judy Warrington, his niece and nephews Kyle, Melanie and Randy and his aunts, uncles and cousins. Peter spent over 30 years teaching in the Lincoln County Board of Education where he gave much of his time to coaching school sports. He was involved with the Garden City Kiwanis Club both as a hockey coach and Executive member. Peter loved sports both as a player in his early years in Merritton and later on as a curler and lawn bowler and he was a diehard fan of both the Cleveland Browns and Indians. Our heartfelt thanks to the amazing staff at Pioneer Elder Care in St. Catharines for their loving care and support. Cremation has taken place and a gathering for family and friends will take place on Sunday, September 17 from 1:00 to 4:00 at the Grantham Optimist Club 188 Linwell Rd, St. Catharines. A private family interment will be held at a later date. Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
