It was so sad to hear of Martin’s sudden passing. 2 or 3 times a week I had the pleasure of saying hello or having a short chat with Martin and Brenda in the dining room at the Royal Henley retirement home. Martin would often shake my hand with a friendly smile. Martin was a true gentleman and I will miss seeing him during my tours of the dining room. My condolences to Brenda at this difficult time.

So sorry Brenda to hear of Martin’s passing. He was a very gentle man and had such a nice and comforting smile all the time. Keep the fond memories of him. That is the most important thing right now. Take care of yourself also.

There was never a dearer, more gentle and generous man than Martin. He encouraged and mentored the members of Brock’s Chemistry Department. Mary Frances Richard was particularly grateful for Martin’s friendship, and she would want me to include her in this message. Mary and I both extend our heartfelt sympathy to Brenda, and to all of Martin’s friends and former colleagues. Our lives have alll been enhanced by Martin’s kindness and wisdom.
